stArt and the University Co-op Bookshop invite all student artists and designers currently enrolled in art and design courses in Australia to submit designs.
We are looking for original art works and designs suitable to be printed as greeting cards and desirable enough for everyone to want one!
You can enter in three categories:
Fine arts which includes painting, drawing, screen prints, etching - anything created by hand.
Photomedia - analogue or digital or alternative process photomedia methods.
Digital Media - illustration and graphic design created on and manipulated by a computer.

The good folk at the Crumpler custom design store in Newtown are offering the winner, of the Fine Arts category, the opportunity to have their work immortalized on Crumpler canvas.The fine embroiderers will work with you to transfer your winning design onto a Crumpler bag. You just need to open the doors to your creativity
Create your art.
Your design can be traditional art, paintings, illustrations, sketches, vector art, Photomedia, or however you like to design. There is no brief except make it thought provoking, make it bold, make it beautiful and give it a visual message suitable for a greeting card!
Printed image size: 125mm [wide] x 125mm [height] - we prefer a square format as your image will be cropped to suit the web site format.
Upload image size: 500 x 500 pixels, RGB at 72 DPI.
Here’s how to submit your design:
In General
- Please be careful when editing your work and send a maximum of three submissions.
- Your design can be traditional art, paintings, illustrations, sketches, vector art, photoshop, or however you like to design so long as it is printable and suitable for a greeting card.
- Make it digital - If your design is traditional art, get it scanned or take a digital picture of it. To enter will need a low resolution file to begin with no bigger than 1MB per image.
- If your work is chosen as a winner you will need to provide a high resolution 300 DPI TIF, EPS or PDF file.
- It’s ideal to submit your design as a square format - the optimum size fit 125mm x 125mm card size.
- Closing date is 30 April so get it together now rather than later!
Here's how to enter:
To enter you will need a low resolution RGB jpeg file to begin with no bigger than 1MB per image.
For best results, use images that are 500 pixels by 500 pixels.
Register and upload submissions entries on the ‘Submit Works’ tab on studentart.com.au
You can change your entry anytime before the submission closing date.
