Judging of stArt 2010
stArt will select a panel of 3 judges from the Art and Design industry who will come together to present a shortlist from all the submissions.
A majority (scored) decision will determine the winner of each category, based on written judging criteria.
Judging criteria will include: effectiveness of communication; appropriateness of content for purpose, quality of art and design; originality and innovative use of medium and materials.
stArt Categories are:
Photomedia – analogue and digital photography
Fine Arts – made by hand and mixed media
Digital media – computer generated

LARA SOLOMON: Award-Winning Business Entrepreneur
Mocks – Mobile Phone Socks With strategic marketing and a solid business approach, LaRoo grew a huge 46% on average per month in the first nine months. Brand New Day Social Rabbit – Social Media consulting Lara’s Accolades:
In March 2004 that Lara started LaRoo and launched the product Mocks. Mocks are your everyday, essential fashion accessory; designed to protect small electronic devices from scratches, sunburn or the cold.
In October 2008 Lara published her book Brand New Day – The Highs and Lows of Starting a Small Business, a true, funny and brutally honest Bridget Jones’ Diary style account of starting a new business.
In January 2010, after HUGE success with her Mocks brand on Facebook (12,000 fans in under 3 months and doubling of online sales), Lara created Social Rabbit as a way to offer education and consulting advice to businesses large and small.

Audrey Larsen
Audrey Larsen is an award winning computer graphic artist. She operates her own successful design and production business – Compuvision – producing magazines, travel brochures, books and marketing collateral for a wide range of companies. She is well known as a leading computer graphic arts educator in PhotoShop, Illustrator and Indesign. She is a Fine Arts Graduate from Alexander Mackie CAE with a Post Graduate Degree in Art From Cty Art Institute – now the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales. She won the inaugural Mac Expo Art Awards in Illustration and has exhibited in many group shows.

Philippe Vincent
Philippe has been exhibiting paintings and designing clothing since 1995. His designer knitware has sold in stores in Sydney as well as London. In 2006, he launched his own fashion label, PV1, and branched out into custom-made jeans. He now runs the very successful Crumpler Custom Store in Newtown, Sydney selling designer bags and accessories.
